Cast Off The Lines and Cruise    Margie and Peter Benziger

Cruising Stories and Tips from our 44 Country Circumnavigation.
On January 5th, 2010, Margie and Peter Benziger left Miami for, what was supposed to be, a three-year circumnavigation. Nine years later, they arrived in San Francisco, having passed through the Panama Canal twice in the same direction.
Over the years, they sailed more than 40,000 miles and learned a lot about cruising and themselves. The presentation will include pictures and videos from their travels, advance preparation, boat maintenance, sailing in heavy weather, navigation, friendships, cross-cultural communication, diving World War II wrecks and more…

Margie and Peter will describe, each from their own perspective, how to cast off the dock lines and make your cruising dreams come true.
